Honesty even when it hurts

A small rant and a request.
I am not naive, just too quick to confer good intentions to those around me. There is rarely a good reason to be dishonest with me...I am open minded, accepting of the flaws and idiosyncrasies of others (as I hope they are with mine), and I am fairly<b> realistic </font></b>in my expectations.
Please don't lie to me.
Please don't lie to me even if you think it is what I want to hear.
If it isn't true, it isn't what I want to hear.

Sure, the woman *might* get upset, .... Ha.. no, she will get upset, or homicidal, either way, he doesn't have time to deal with that.

but that's not an excuse not to tell the truth. .... Yes it is.

Truth can be delivered diplomatically, ... Don't count on it.

but most people don't know how to do that, and many don't know how to react to truth. ... And there you go.

 Honesty even when it hurts .... People say that, but people don't like it. Perhaps it's their social conditioning.

I say the idea of "[Wanting] honesty, even when it hurts", is nonsense, because experience has told me so.... plus , responding to blogs....people, mostly women, don't like honesty. People get defensive. The result is blocking, or a rant of name-calling, and then blocking.

A young male, proudly blogged, a showing of a movie description of a man and a male who is either a hermaphrodite, or man with breast implants , "Playing" with each other... I said, [honestly] it looked like two homosexuals messing around... he did not appreciate the honesty. Perhaps he was embarrassed. I will never know.

There is rarely a good reason to be dishonest with me .. ... Well, so you say, but I think as a person gets closer to you, the more they actually care about your feelings, and they will stop being completely honest with you.

So you're probably wondering, "You don't care about my feelings"? I'd have to say, "Honestly? Not at this time."

Please don't lie to me. ....Since we don't share a tight social circle, you can just about be assured I won't lie to you, with some exceptions.

 I try to be as polite and diplomatic as possible. But I do warn people, don't ask me anything you don't want a honest answer to.

 Well, first thought on this, if this is really true about you, then you are one of the very few unique ladies out there !!

I've had a few encounters where I guess I was too honest and upfront with things being asked of me by the ladies, and that was the end of it with them as it wasn't what they really were asking and looking for in reality.
