I turned off this evening's news after I heard something about "you know what". Enough - I'm in overload.

I agree Jules. Leave it alone and let us live our lives

May I join you in the (disease whose name is not to be uttered)-free zone?
I'm opting out of the topic of "those Mets" too. Can we talk racing or football or . . . ?

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Concur.

One of my foundational rules of Life is to only worry about things I can control. The only aspect of COVID I can control is my own personal safety. And the basic measures available to me (mask, hunker-down and distancing) no longer require discussion- I just do them.

At this point COVID has touched all of us in direct ways (including close calls) and we all have acquired *battle scars*. I see little purpose in airing grievances we all share.

From the glass-half-full perspective, the Pandemic has motivated me to explore ideas on my Bucket List that were always getting bumped by other adventures in the *open world*. If you want to know anything about Rhone Reds, how to retrofit a lat pull-down cable onto a pull-up tower, or how to cook a Malaysian chili shrimp....I've got plenty to say!

Well said my lady

And stands to reason that in times of angst, one tends to distance oneself from the ubiquitous affliction , in order to get solace

Thanks for stating it so eloquently , and keep that gorgeous smile

Cheers - P

Quick note from Spain : "grima" is not a specific word for the feeling you experience when you hear the sound of fingernails scraping down chalkboard or a knife on a plate. In general means disgust and it has more uses, though one of the most common uses of the word is when you are in disgust by the sound of nails on the blackboard.

Yes, I'm too tired of all the COVID-centered news and informal chatting

Oh Jules, you are wise beyond your years. Who can argue with your logic?

Keep the smile and I love your positive energy.
