Fifty Years Since Tapestry Released  This landmark album was released on "February , 71". It spent thirteen weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 Album Chart. It stayed on the Billboard charts for Three Hundred and Thirteen Weeks! It went on to win four Grammy Awards including Song of the Year making King the first solo female artist to win Record of the Year, and the first woman to win the Song of the Year. Amongst the 'classics' featured on this album are: "I Feel The Earth Move" "So Far Away" "It's Too Late" "You've Got A Friend" "Tapestry"  " Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" showcases King's rise to stardom. She started out as part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin. Her best friends were Cynthia Well and Barry Mann and she went on to become one of the most successful acts in popular music history. I thoroughly enjoyed the local production which received nightly standing ovations. The Broadway version won two Tony Awards. Pictures keep disappearing |

Carole King's music stands the test of time. After hearing the first few bars you instantly recognize her songs. I almost wore out Tapestry and jumped at the opportunity to see the musical. Are you a fan?

Remember when. Carole King and James Taylor joined together in 2007 Troubadour Tour.. Never heard about this on local radio stations. Unless schedule tour date booked in your city.. Maybe it did come to Cleveland never a big fan of hers myself ..Oh this would be common knowledge for someone who has followed Caroler King's. Musical Career.
