Do Not Blame A Clown For Being One  Have you ever heard this saying before? I hadn't but when I saw i.t posted elsewhere today, i.t made m.e stop to reflect where I am and why I am here. People bickering here about the proper use of blogs. Others complaining about being bombarded with unwelcomed 'dick pics'. Some trying t.o publicly shame those that wouldn't accept No for an answer. Some leave and then are drawn back here like some strange addiction. Others seem t.o thrive on drama. Personally, I have discovered how much I enjoy the freedom t.o fill my 'space' the way that I am comfortable. I didn’t set out with a goal of achieving a certain number of ‘watchers’ nor do I post expecting a certain amount of comments. However, whenever someone takes time out of their day t.o stop at my space, i.t is appreciated and I acknowledge their presence. If friendships evolve, that is an added bonus. In the past, I allowed myself t.o get drawn into the 'blog wars' and friendships were lost. The stress and unpleasantness of i.t. all made m.e realize i.t simply wasn't worth the trouble. I continue t.o see what goes on but choose not t.o comment. So why do I stay on here? Because I can. I don't have t.o explain myself t.o anyone. I am m.e. and I don't try nor pretend t.o be anyone else. You would see the same person if we met. Some day I will leave and i.t will be on my own terms. In the meantime, I will see how things continue to unfold.  |

What an interesting saying I had never heard this one either until now. And how befitting it is as it totally fits this place too. And what you see here with me is what you get in real life too, so we have something else in common. Thanks for sharing this one it kind of made me LOL when I first read it..  I hope your enjoying your day..  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

No, I haven’t noticed that, but that’s because I haven’t spent nearly any time at all on the blogs, and having a lapsed paid membership status, it’s even unworkable to be a part of the community at large in the main body of the site. However I have noticed , on an affiliated site where I do read the blogs daily, it really boils down to roughly 10 “bloggers” who dominate the blogs and post 90% of the material. So I can imagine it’s probably that way here as well? Guess I’ll have to keep an eye on these blogs and participate a bit, since the main part of the site isn’t any fun anymore now that they’d made it so restrictive and monetized even trying to look at the profiles.

A corollary-- When you vote for clowns, don't be surprised when a circus breaks out.

Its simple - I'm here to meet women. I blog because it is somewhat interesting and it is something to do when there aren't any women available nearby.

I wasn't denying there are some good people on here. It is important to put this site into perspective and realize it's a microcosm unto itself and the blogging community is only a subset. I always appreciate you stopping by and sharing your perspective.

Same as: Not My monkey, Not my Show. In other words...stay outta it . lol i was raised with the saying: You dont have a nickle in that 25 cents....so leave it alone. I keep arriving to the circus because there are some good peeps here...interesting perspectives ....sometimes entertaining....my blog writes are cathartic and if i happen to find a partner...its a Bonus. Just always believed that strong people lift others others up....not smack em down. Also that queens need to dust off each others crowns, not try to tear em off. Hence i am always suspect when i see the converse happening~~
