Desperate women

While channel surfing over the past few days, I caught snippets of two Canadian documentaries about western women who were desperate for love and affection and consequently found themselves being taken advantage of by unscrupulous men. The first concerned cases of marriage fraud, in which the foreign male feigned love in order to marry the woman and thus get Canadian PR status before dumping her. The second concerned women traveling to Bali who found males there showering them with attention in hopes of getting the women to buy expensive gifts - including cars and property - for them. One of the males interviewed for the documentary was married and his wife approved of him going out to have sex with gullible western women because he was earning a substantial income for the family via the expensive gifts he was receiving.

This raised several questions in my mind:
1. Have you ever been so blinded by love that you made some incredibly stupid decisions?
2. Have you ever lied to someone else to get sex? Or had someone else lie to you to get sex?
3. How do you rate sex vs. money?

My answers in brief:
1. Not to my knowledge.
2(a). I can't recall any specific instances, but am sure I must have at least once or twice.
2(b). Yes, I've had potential partners lie about their age, appearance, experience, etc. Small lies usually have not bothered me much; big lies have almost always been game over.
3. I'm not a big spender and have a more than adequate income, so would place sex ahead of money.
For those willing to share, I'll look forward to some of your answers.
