Writers blockish

I am struggling with the question right now that I cant write because I am generally happy. Yeah I know how some of you can think that I am happy in the middle of what might turn out to be an ugly divorce. But I am. And this leads me to the age old dilemma of whether a writer needs sadness and angst in their lives in order to make them<b> writers. </font></b>I don't know about that. I am struggling with it. It seems that I am happy and therefore out of ideas. Or I am lying to myself and to everyone else and am really unhappy and cant write as a result of the unhappiness. I wish I knew which it was. Any ideas out there?

yeah it is okay. I just am not sure that noir is my muse. I hope not or this blog could get really boring.

 I am more able to write when Im happy...
When I am sad, I tend to clam up and disappear off the blogs...
