The Templar And Celestine Night 5 (part 2)

"It is nothing compared to what you have endured my lady." The templar moved to his chair and unfastened the buckles that held his leather upon his shoulder and chest took it off and place it on the floor at his feet, then he took chain from upper body to let it hang at waist. His body honed to perfection from years of training, scars upon chest and stomach told many war stories. Blood flowed in a steady current from his recent wound. Sir James grabbed the torch from its place on the wall braced himself and quikly put fire to wound. He screamed in pain and the sound of sizzling flesh and blood echoed his cry followed by the smell of burnt skin and hair. The doorman brought the needle and thread at his foot and hurried back out in a quiet rush. "Sir James come here let me help, its the least I can do for the kindness you shown." He grimmaced and nodded and opened her cell just to go back to his seat. Celestine washed his wound with water then took needle and thread with professional hands to close his wounds. "You have done this before." it was a observation and statement. "Yes, my job and station requires me to help the injured and sick." She looked up into his eyes and smiled, that gaze though was breif felt a eternity, but she cleared her throat and went back to work. "I need that salve you bring." The templar retrieved it and handed it to her she applied it with care then went to her cell tore her linen and made a bandage then proceeded to wrap his wound. "Thank you for saving my life and being so kind to me." she said as she finished then kissed his cheek "No thanks needed my lady, I am doing nothing no man with honor or chivalry would not do." She just nodded and went to her cell to lay down "If you say so, but still thank you Sir James Greyson. And Good night." He smiled and redonned his armor and waited for sun to rise.

Stars upon Stars..

Chivalry and knighthood carry down through eternity. Its echoes resurface time and time again, like a whisper.
