You don't earn heaven

I have had to learn more about the Bible as I am helping Chinese asylum seekers based on religious persecution in China.

To me, one of the concepts that is appealing about Christianity is that heaven, or eternal life, is not earned by good works. In the short span of life on Earth it seems unlikely you could do enough good deeds to deserve eternal life. Or even commit enough<b> sins </font></b>to merit eternal death.

So grace is the answer. Of course why you should get grace just through faith and sincere belief is another issue...
