Dreamers Dreamers is the term used for the undocumented brought to the US by parents or other relatives. They have been fed, educated and given health care at some large expense and now are ready to work, but they are not citizens and have a limited future in the shadows. What to do with them? Obama had a Deferred action program that sheltered them from deportation for two years, but granted no legal status. Only the hardiest hearted blame the for the<b> sins </font></b>of the parents. Yes I know some want to punish to discourage the parents. But those meanies are out of step with most normal decent Americans. So the sensible thing is to allow the to become US citizens. Apparently Trump is coming around to this realization. He can build a bridge to Democrats and create some good will by simply proposing this humanitarian gesture. Comprehensive immigration reform is a pipe dream, but fixing the Dreamer situation is a concrete first step. |

This would be easy enough to do, bring some good will to crossing the aisle, and even though most Republicans are supposed to be against it, I think even they are ok with it happening.
