Another one bites the dust. Times change. What was considered minor stuff is now sufficient for Al Franken to be forced from office. Given a Minnesota governor will replace Al with a Democrat, the partisan balance in the US Senate will not change for a year or so.

I liked Al and his brand of politics. But if sexual harassment is wrong for Trump and Moore, it is also wrong for Al and John Conyers. Bad behavior is not only bad when the other team does it.

Mistreating women has started to have adverse consequences for those who used power to gain a sexual advantage. Still levels of bad behavior should bring different levels of punishment. Harvey Weinstein was much worse than Al and deserves much worse resulting bad consequences. The punishment should fit the crime.

A civilized society does not give the death penalty for stealing a loaf of bread when a is hungry. Elective office is an honor, and not for those dishonorable.

Roy Moore is accused of attempted grape of a 16 year old, when he was 32 and the sexual seduction of a 13 year old when the age of consent was 16, and he was in his thirties. About 8 or 9 women have accused Roy of attempted dating when he was in his thirties and they were 16 or under. Several have corroborating cards and yearbooks signed by Roy. He was banned from the mall and a department store for pestering females who were in high school. When he was a DA he used his office to take advantage of females with impunity as he was the prosecutor of sex crimes. Many knew of his behavior and were complicit in allowing it to continue. Roy denies knowing any of these girls when he dating them!

If the GOP elects a sexual predator and molester as Senator from Alabama, then they have no honor or morals worth mentioning.

Consensual sex is fun and healthy. Coerced or is wrong and illegal.

Sex with someone younger than the age of consent is unlawful sex. Clear and simple.
