"A star is born" new version

I saw the new version of "A star is born" on Sunday. A fine and touching retelling of this classic Hollywood story. Made new by focusing on music and song writing. Bradley Cooper did a fine job of acting,<b> singing </font></b>and debut directing. He imitated Sam Elliot's deeper voice and added this subplot to the story line.

Lady Gaga is a great singer and fine actor. She was compelling and very relatable.

Andrew Dice Clay did a good job as a New Jersey dad to Lady Gaga. The rest of the cast was very good too.

The single "Shallow" looks like an Oscar winner and hit song.

A touching and effective drama that is still uplifting despite the dark subject of the demons of alcohol and drug use by rock stars. A must see movie.
