Being rich or poor We lie to ourselves that our merit decides if we are rich or poor. Not true. Having rich parents, living in a rich area, having a healthy body, having good energy, being born without genetic defects, avoiding toxic killers and criminals. These are all lucky results that are not caused by your individual merit. Negative results are often not caused by your immorality either. We blame people for events that are often largely out of their control. There are elements we do control. Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort chose to cheat on their taxes, lie to Federal FBI agents and lie to Congress. People choose careers. The lowest paid<b> college </font></b>degree is in social work. Music and art are also low paid for most. Accounting, business and law along with medicine are well paid. Wild speculators often make lots of money and then blow lots on risky deals. Most gamblers are not rich. Slow and steady for years lead to the best result. Like Warren Buffett. Most musicians are poor. Paul McCartney, Madonna and Mick Jagger are very rich.... They were talented, but also lucky. So do not take all the credit for your success or all the blame for your failures. Luck had something to do with it. |

Just being born in the U.S. was winning the lottery over billions of people who did not have this lucky break.

Being a car mechanic and owning a shop can be profitable. Most white guys do not want to do that job so the mechanics are usually Hispanic.

Thanks for the reminder... I used to be a musician.... but changed my luck, but flipping into a career in business. Who knew? It WAS luck... It took me two times, before I passed that Probabilities and Statistics course... Interesting read, as your right it's not about rich or poor it's just who you are and how you conduct yourself. And to add they are not the only ones who cheated on their taxes, as that's also soon to be revealed and in saying that as they are in charge of the U.S. they need to be more of a role model for the world and be more forth coming and honest.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Well luck plus hard work is more successful than luck alone. Many do overcome adversity, while many more cannot. Much of our success was due to luck in choosing our parents, as if we could do that.
