Trump asks for foreign nations to assist his re-election. Trump has sought assistance from five nations to help him defeat Joe Biden in 2020. President Trump, facing impeachment for pressuring Ukraine to investigate his political rivals, publicly called on China on Oct. 3, 2019 to examine former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. as well, an extraordinary request to a foreign power for help that could benefit him in next year’s election. “China should start an investigation into the Bidens, because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine,” Mr. Trump told reporters as he left the White House to travel to Florida. His request came moments after he discussed upcoming trade talks with China and said that “if they don’t do what we want, we have tremendous power.” The president’s call for Chinese intervention means that Mr. Trump and his attorney general have solicited assistance in discrediting the president’s political opponents from five nations, China, Ukraine, Australia, Italy and, according to one report, Britain. In speaking so publicly on Thursday, a defiant Mr. Trump pushed back against critics have called such requests an abuse of power, essentially arguing that there was nothing wrong with seeking foreign help to win re-election in 2020. Throughout his presidency, Mr. Trump has made no effort to hide actions or statements that critics called outrageous violations of norms and standards — but because he does them in public, they seem to stir less blow back than if they had been done behind closed doors. Among other things, he repeatedly called on his own Justice Department to investigate his Democratic foes and eventually fired Sessions his first attorney general for not protecting him from the Russia investigation. |

Trump has claimed he could get away with murder. Looks like he thinks he can get away with killing the law against foreign assistance in our elections and violate the U.S. Constitution. The GOP will now get to show if they have sold their souls to this devil, or not.

Trump has no boundaries, no knowledge of law, no interest in following legal norms and no sense of shame for immoral behavior. He has gotten away with so many transgressions for so long he thinks he is untouchable. We will see if he gets away again, or not.

All i can say as any Canadian will say he didnt do Canada any favors yet in fact he hurt more things for Canada and Canadians in particular in the steel industry are pretty upset when he signed papers putting only 5 % of steel going into the USA from Canada, The Canadian steel industry lost big time there...so its not only what he screws up in the USA because he is the President he messes it up for Canada as well..

I fail to see any good that 45 has done for the"little people". All he has done has been for himself and himself. Now he blatantly asks or demands other countries to help him win the 202 election. But even harder to understand is all the so-called good American patriots who don't see anything wrong with this. So much for being a good American patriot. 45 doesn't deserve to be dog catcher. He, and his family belong in jail. The repugnant party belongs in jail as well. If any other president had asked another country to help them win the election by doing this they would have been impeached and put under the jail. Repugnant party of law and order, right. They are all selling this country down the drain.

Trump in broad daylight asked for China's help to get dirt on Biden. The Trump lovers are so blind because they choose not to see. Trump is not interested in general corruption just that he can use against Biden.
