I have a who plead guilty to two charges of<b> </font></b>under Cal penal code. This caused major headaches when she tried to get a green card based on marriage to a US citizen. We finally got one count vacated under PC 1473.7 which eliminated the conviction. But it took years and thousands of dollars to do.

The point is do not plead guilty to more than one petty offense or you are barred from a green card and becoming a US citizen. Pleas to trespass or massage without a license are ok<b>. </font></b>is not! Bad legal advice is often provided to aliens. So sad.

 Cal. Penal Codes section 647(b) makes sex for money a misdemeanor. First offenders usually just get a fine and probation and no jail time. The immigration cases define prostitution more narrowly to mean sexual intercourse for money, but do not actually criminalize oral sex, anal sex, hand jobs, or non vaginal sex... One petty offense is no problem. More is a big problem.
