Happy New Year! I have to admit, being in a part of North America that is definitely feeling the bitter cold of an Arctic blast, that I like this weather. The air as you breathe it in wakes and stimulates you from the inside out; going sledding with the makes you feel like a again; bundling up to the point of not being able to move - ah, it's insane, but I love it! Besides, as I keep pointing out, at night, this is perfect cuddling weather. A nice, warm blanket, a cuddling partner - there is really not much more in life that is perfect, in my very humble opinion. I am not good in hot weather. Around here, it doesn't just get hot, it gets sticky, too. Hot and sweaty - when I haven't done anything to be hot and sweaty about - well, I just don't like it. I mean, when it's cold, you can always add another layer, or bundle up under a blanket to keep warm; when it's hot, you can only get so naked - if you're still sweaty, not much you can do about it. Besides, in public, getting naked is frowned upon by most people... especially if you're older, male, overweight, etc. A question for you: what's your favorite season, and why? Actually, mine isn't the winter (it's a close second); it's spring, with the new growth, the new life, the warm days, the showers (where I can put on boots and jump in puddles!), even (to an extent) the mud. Summer's too hot for me, and fall, well, fall is when things look like they're dying. What about you - what do you like, and why? |
