Without A Tie


A young man, desperate for water, was plodding through the desert
When he saw something far off in the distance
Hoping to find water, he hurried toward the object,
Only to find a little old man at a small stand selling<b> ties.
</font></b>The young man asked, "Do you have water?"

The old man replied, "I have no water.
Would you like to buy a tie…They are only $5
The young man shouted, I don’t need a tie…I need water
You idiot…I should kill you for asking such a thing

"OK," said the old man. "It doesn’t matter to me
that you don’t want to buy a tie or that you might want to kill me
I will show you that I am bigger than that.
If you continue over that hill to the east for about two miles,
You will find a restaurant…It has all the ice cold water you need."

Muttering under his breath, the young man staggered away over the hill.
Several hours later he staggered back.
"Your fucking brother won't let me in without a tie."
