Hello to you sweet butterfly
While on wings of silk you flow
Hello to you on this wonderful day
As you go where the winds may blow.

You flow so gently on the summer breeze
So gracefully flitting along
It would be a wonder if I could join
In wafting on a summer’s song.

Not a care in the world just going your way
Doing what butterflies do
I would love your life, yet still have mine
Most certainly, so would you.

The grass is greener on the other side
It’s why I think the things I do
Living the life of a butterfly
And everyday beginning anew.

Flitting each day from flower to flower
Magical visits to each plant
But when the days of summer’s gone
Will you have gotten all you want?
