I don't watch just any kind of sport.... I'm a fairly active guy. I will play almost any sport if you out it in front of me. I've played (amercian) football, baseball, Soccer (the real football), Volleyball, tennis, badminton, Skydiving, swimming, golf, various track events, Martial Arts, car racing and more. I think sports are fun to play and do, so it pretty much doesn't matter what the sport is, I'll give it a go especially if I've not done it before. WATCHING sports is a different matter. Over the years I've basically stopped watching sports except the odd game of something here or there. I'm not a "sports fan" so to speak. Watching and playing are two different things. I've had season tickets to my hometown's football team... not because I liked football, but because I like getting out once in a while. I watch a hockey game here or there, but am not glued to the TV for any specific team, or just to watch. I've tried watching golf, but I fall asleep... which is the same thing that happens when I watch baseball. I found a new sport. One that has me as a regularly sitting on the edge of my seat... counting the days to when it will be on. I look forward to watching this newly televised sport. This is really saying something. Please remember that I'm not big on TV.... And I'm especially don't like watching sports on TV. This sport I am watching now, Has never before been televised... Actually the sport is probably older than the real football or soccer I love so much. What is the Sport I am watching, sitting on the edge of my seat for?  FULL METAL JOUSTING.  I stumbled across it one day (as I watch the history channel sometimes) and did not, by any means think it was real. After sticking around on the channel one day to check it out, I was HOOKED. It's real baby. Real, massive horses, real armor, real sticks, real guys trying to knock each other the other guy's . I like to make fun of macho sports... usually because it involves guys wearing tights trying to grab other guys in tights... to me that is GAY. lol! FAG CITY. not that I have anything against gay guys... what I do have a problem with is macho guys trying to pass off machismo while wearing<b> spandex. </font></b>I have, my whole life referred to the pads on a football player or hockey guy as armor... even when I played, So I do like those sports because you can run full tilt at another guy and hit as hard as you can... but not like this. Put on a suit of armor, mount a and run full speed at another guy who is going to do the exact same thing to you... THAT is machismo. 80 pounds of armor. Inch and a half thick sticks... 2000 pounds of ... gives you shattered splinters, holes in your body, steel plating that buckles, and lots and lots of growling. When you watch these guys get hit... you quite literally SEE that it's like getting hit by a car.... every time. These guys almost kill themselves and each other almost everytime they pass each other. They need to know how to ride a full galloping , BLIND, and use technique to hit a spot, that is no bigger than license plate... with a bouncy pole that will either snap, or knock themselves off, six feet to the ground at 30 miles an hour. This is fun to watch. And I don't know if I could play either... That's a lot of gear to put on. I salute jousters... lol! They're fucking crazy and skilled. Well, the "sport" is so new... or so old... That they regulate their own... there is no structure behind it. They are basically making the rule book as they go. This is the very first time it has been done competitively since the Renascence or even victorian days. They are going off of some german tournament rules that were written over 300 years ago lol! I'll put on a suit, get on top a horse, to ten passes and hold a lance (if I can  ) if your brother does! It'd probably be a gas!

That looks like an exciting sport to watch. Even more so if you were rooting for someone!  Me? I watch American Football and the occasional NASCAR race.  I haven't picked a favorite yet. But Next week the BIGGEST guy (from the black team) is going down the list in the semi finals and he is AWESOME to watch. he hits HARD and ACCURATE. The last time he was on, he unhorsed his opponent THREE times, one of which was a double unhorsing! that was cool.... very cool. It's on at nine pm on history channel here next wednesday. I like watching football, especially with other people who like it. And used to watch formula 1 races or WRC racing. I just don't do it anymore. I love car racing though...
