Behold Thine Eyes.

Behold thine eyes...
Such splendor and succulant treats to be seen by.
Found only under such a beautious gaze,
Do hazey days; fleet of foot inexorably melt,
Into the sugar coated<b> glaze </font></b>of blurry, happy memories.

Bring forth those beaming orbs; those tokens of war!
For they shine light upon the ramparts,
The battlements of this heart.
All the better to navigate through this darkened siege;
This endless, forlorn battle.

Pierce me with this light, that I might feel again.
Expose the dreary, weary wasteland
That I protect for all things sacred.

As Steward of this realm,
I must not waver,
I must not fail with the charge of safe keeping.
To fall before a weaker foe, would be the woe,
And ruin of all I swore an oath to.

Yet each day upon these ramps,
I pray for the challenge,
I pray for thee who would be worthy,
A triumphant adversary; the foe to end the woe,
And listless misery...
Mired in the muck.

So rest your gaze, let it rest upon my chest.
Bring your best, to test my days!
For therin, lays the beauty
Of all things sacred.
