Hiding Behind Your Phone? Yes its true. I hide behind my phone. Funny.... People like to attibute how antisocial people are nowadays. Take a look at this painting.  Its called night hawks and was revered because it exemplified the loneliness one experienced while in close physical proximity with others. It was done during a time where little devices were not available for us as a way to ignore one another. Back then we didn't have an excuse, it seems we just did it. lol! Nowadays we have an excuse to ignore that person sitting next to us on the bus. Now we have something that legitmately can require our attention...other than that blank wall we could stare at, or perhaps the flashing scenery that seems more interesting than the bag of bones that wants to talk about the weather. In fact if I'm right, most of those who have their heads buried in those smart phones aren't faking looking at their phone as though it was a blank wall, or suddenly interesting scenery. They are probably checking their emails, tweets, updates, likes, comments... Or maybe perhaps posting on their blog, posting what they ate for lunch, or what their day was like or playing a game with a friend from far away. Chances are, that if their faces are buried in a smartphone, they are being a little more social than any other generation on earth ever has been. ...by ignoring that person sitting next to them on the bus. Perhaps they are even in a discussion that's a little more involved than how the weather is. Who knows? What do you do with your phone and do you fake it when you don't want to be "social"? |

wow for someone who hides behind their phone - umm, you sure do a great job of returning texts in a timely manner.. good to know you're just ignoring my texts!! Thanks  I return your texts and emails. That's rare for me! Even if its days late. Most don't even get that from me. That's why I warn everyone that I'm not good at the whole text /email communicating thing. I'm seriously not good at it. Seriously not good at it at all! Gets me into trouble.
