Well this last weekend I was one of a group of20 people that attempted to climb the three highest peaks on mainland Britain inside 24 hours.

To say that I am rather tired is a bit of an understatement. The intention is to climb Ben Nevis in Scotland then drive for 6 hours and climb Scafell Pike and then continue the journey to Mount Snowdon in wales another 5 hour drive away. In this you walk approx 25 miles with 10,500 ft of climbing. The timing only finishes when you get off the last mountain and not when you reach the summit.

I am glad I have done it as I was interested even after hearing it fr the first time 30 years ago. I wish I did it then as I was fitter.

Oh well many more of interest next time

P

Thank you. Yes I'll always have the memories of the day. Other than it raining on each peak I had a great time.

In preparation for the event I walked over 400 miles over the local hills and only got rained on 2 or 3 occasions.
