My 10 Things For The Tag Game

I've been tagged by sexyolderwoman47 and Violette001 and imfun269.

The rules as I understand them: You tell us 10 weird or random things - facts, habits or goals about yourself... Once you have been tagged you have to write a post containing the above. At the end choose up to 10 people to be tagged listing their names. You can't tag the one who tagged you.

Don't forget to leave them a comment in one of their posts(YOU'RE IT) and to read their blog.

My 10 Random Things

1 - For about a dozen years I built a luge track in my back yard every winter. We would throw a big party on the first Saturday of February - food, drinks, friends , (lots of ), a campfire and back yard sledding until midnight.

2 - I own a small business designing and making custom art displays. (Sorry that's a bit vague don't want to identify it.)

3 - I bought it with part of my buy-out from a job at a multinational specialty chemical product manufacturer.

4 - I worked at that manufacturer for 24 years. I started out sweeping floors and cleaning toilets, spent some time on the manufacturing lines, and "retired" as an engineering technician working in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining quality monitoring programs and control systems and software.

5 - I lived six miles from the plant and often rode my bicycle to work 9 or 10 months a year. It helped foil my father's prediction that I'd get a big belly by the time I was 40... or yet.

6 - I've done ten mile canoe races at Saranac Lake, NY, with my . We came in third in our race category one year.

7 - I learned to fly airplanes when I was young.

8 - I once ran for treasurer of a union local and won with 62% of the vote out of almost 300 members. I served for a one year term and then left that job for a better one. I didn't run for another term because I had the other job already lined up.

9 - I've gone camping (in the northeast) at least once in every month of the year. January is the hardest. October is my favorite.

10 - I was born in a blizzard in Feb. in eastern Mass. My father went out and bought my twin brother and I a pair of skis and we skied a lot when we were young.

Now it's my turn - I tag WarmSoftWet and 2titsnowaiting and dndiamonds and all my followers who haven't yet been tagged. Tag! You're it! Some of the others I might tag have already been tagged - or they tagged me. Tag. You're it!

Can you please clarify #10??? You were born when there was a blizzard raging outside, so you dad went out and bought you and your twin brother skis that very day??? so... when did you start skiing? as soon as your Dad got back from the store, or did you wait till the blizzard died down?

Well. I don't know if was that very day, but, yes, it was one of the first things he bought for us. I don't remember a time learning how to ski so I must he must have been putting them on us as soon as we could walk. He was a very avid skier until I was about 10 or so when he hurt his ankle and after that we didn't do so much skiing.
