Demons

The voices fill my ears as I stand on my knees.My screams my own comfort within this darkened night.The rain blanketing my trembling silhouette.My flesh is torn at by the hungry teeth of the fallen.My bleeding eyes look upon a sea of tortured souls.Fighting amongst themselves for my soul.Choking me with their frigid touch.Binding my mouth shut until no longer can I speak.The disease begins.Crippling me.Taking over.They reach for the pills.Warm alcohol drifting down my throat.No one hears me but my despair.Infection poisons my core.They mock me in their triumph.At first they promised me the world.Then crushed my universe.Turned me against those who tried to save me.I became like them.Snarling at the world while I got lost in this hell.My nails tore away all emotional<b> ties </font></b>until there was nothing left but emptiness inside.They ambushed the base of my mind.The battle raging.Losing all hope.But a shred of faith still remain.A man came to me.They began To shake in fear.Hissing yet retreating.He took my hand and said come with me .They dispersed.The sun began to shine.Chains lifted by mercy.He led me to the light.My duty to save those like me and witness to them.To protect them from their own end.A soldier sent to battle for a cause greater than thee.A warrior for the king.The master.
