11/28/2012 Poem: The Difference between alone

I thought that not being with you
that living through this wave of time
threading the waters
assuming, thinking, imagining, we had a plan
I really thought this feeling that pushed and pulled in all directions
I thought for a long time, I was alone

we could say one thing,
never really make it come true
and broken<b> ties </font></b>only drifting it apart.. in thought
alone is emtpy, distant from anything that is
but I'm inside society
in a system, part of a system
you're the only one that isn't here
I'm not alone, I'm lone
the way you've always been

The only real difference is that empty space right in the middle
just a _ (space)
