$$ What a change

Yesterday I had some thinking time, even though I have been retired for awhile , I am still amazed that I made it this far. One advantage being retired is thinking about retirement. It is a new adventure after working all your adult life. If you are like me, you now have the time and are very willing share your wisdom with anyone that does not run away first . It does take some time adjust your new schedule, or lack of schedule. One problem though is hanging out with all these folks . Are you retired? If not, when do you plan retire? Here are some of my thoughts about retirement . Please share any thoughts .

Yep we have been retired for a bit now and it almost seems we are as busy as when we weren't retired. It's amazing how much time we are spending on my new duties as President of the Senior Club. Lots going on and it's great to share life experiences with others our age, we always learn something new. I hope you enjoy your Hump Day..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I Retired in May of last year and I can Honestly say , " I DO NOT MISS WORKING ! "
Finally getting caught up on the ME DO list !!
On nice days; instead of being hung-up at work ; I can go fishing , go for a long drive in the country , work at random on projects , etc. !!

I had a job that required me to talk to people all day. That meant I hardly to talked to anyone during my free time. Now that I'm retired, I find myself much more chatty with random strangers...whether they want to listen is unknown.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Not retired yet....it takes careful planning , people are living longer and need the activities and the finances to fund perhaps 30 yrs beyond retirement. Also....your work in some ways defines identity. I am now living alone and even though i have several different groups of friends, if i didnt go into work each day, there may be days , if i dont go out, where there would be no human contact. Yes....it takes careful planning.

Thank you soooooo much for your service~~
