The Duke, I of course am referring to John Wayne. I have emphasized this with God sons many times in the past. But as they get older , their perspective is changing. As many of you know, John Wayne was an action type actor. In my opinion (remember, an opinion is one of several things we all have 😊) he was one of the greatest role models for the boys and all . Exuding an aura of confidence, fairness and patriotism. His roles were certainly in some cases over blown purposely . My boys continue to be surprised by some of his actions in the movies, like sticking to his values, sometimes to the detriment of his character. Although not a politically correct character, he always seemed to be honest and fair, attributes that shows what a man should be. Do you remember John Wayne? Did you enjoy his character (s) in the movies?

 Yeah, I liked Wayne's screen persona. His real life politics, not so much, but that is retrospect and before my time.

I liked Gary Cooper too. And Alan Ladd.

 I always Loved his Westerns and Not so much his other movies besides the " Green Beret "!! Truth be told here; I have EVERY Western he ever made on DVD and still watch them from time to time !!! 🤠

 I was watching B&W TV and John Wayne was giving a speech of some kind (Idon't remember what) and they brought in and wearing a white cowboy hat, Nakita Kruschev and asked Duke to say a few words to the Premire.. John Wayne said
" I can't say much about you Russians but you sure know how to melt down a potato
I swear it's true... God Bless John Wayne....
