The days between Christmas and New Year

In South Africa these days are dead days in terms of business. Very few places that are not retail or essential services are open. Even a lot of the retail places are closed.

Everyone is on holiday and the inland city of Johannesburg is virtually deserted. However there are many people who, like myself, consider this the best week of the year to be in Johannesburg.

I have been using the time to visit friends and socialise. Certainly been a great few days for me. Today (Saturday 29th) is a planned "nothingness" day. I will possibly put my Christmas decorations away. I don't like leaving them up for too long.

Pity, of course, that there is no one in my life at the moment to spend some of the lazy hours in bed with me.

I too will be having a "nothingness" day today, albeit half a world away from you!

Enjoy yours to the max!
