Another reason to mistrust our gov't
Another reason to mistrust our gov't In Dec. I wrote A blog entitled "Wire Tappers and Other Panty Sniffers". That was when the news first broke regarding the present administration's total disregard of constitutional protections of the right to privacy. Today we have learned that the National Security Agency has been mining the private phone records of just about every american within the United States in an effort to find "patterns of possible terrorist activity." The companies that have willingly betrayed the trust of its customers are AT&T, Verizon, and SouthernBell. To date Qwest Communications has refrained citing legal and privacy concerns. That information contains calls to your families, friends, on the side lover, your baker, your grocer, your marijuana provider, whoever. Next this information is passed on to the FBI, the CIA and of course any unscrupulous gov't agent who wants an easy way into your private life so they don't have to do any actual work for their pay. This is scary folks. I do not want Big Brother in my life. I have no intent to commit a horrendous crime but I do value my privacy and resent gov't intrusion into my privacy. After 9/11 the mantra was "We doubt many americans will object to giving up a few rights in order to gain security" The problem is nobody ever gave me an opportunity to vote on that thought; hell, they didn't even ask my opinion. Now I'm supposed to trust these clowns with my private info?! Btw thats the private info they just took assuming I wouldn't mind. Well dammit! I do mind and election day is just around the corner u panty sniffin sobs. No thank you. Bull |
