The World Is Going To Hell

Now I normally don't like to complain about things outside my own tiny little world, but I saw something in the paper today that made me shake my head. I read in the paper today that they dont want<b> teachers </font></b>to use red pens in school when correcting papers because red is too aggressive. The new color for failure is purple. Like Barney. Apparently the bluish element in the purple is less negative and more encouraging. Seriously? WTF are we doing people? What happened to the good ole days of getting a smack on the ass when you did something bad and corrected math papers that looked like they had just been through a slasher movie? these days have things so easy

Democrats (liberals) are the ones that infest the school boards and support this touchy-feely bullshit.

You may have good reason to not like either major party, but I guarantee you that if the R's were in charge of the schools instead of the D's, we'd see a lot more learning and a lot less coddling.
