Something to Masturbate To (or No. Not Really) A friend of mine here mentioned that my blog postings didn't provide any masturbation aides. I thought it was funny and a good enough way to introduce my topic. Taking the Fun out of Feminism. Ok. That does seem lot less interesting, at first glance, than the title I chose, but it all<b> ties </font></b>in together. The feminists have, as a rule, promoted their own agendas as women rather than working on behalf of all women. The idea that they are any less of a lobbyist group purporting to represent larger group is ludicrous. I'll give a few key examples. Women not only should have the right to work inn professional positions outside of their homes, but they should be supported in doing so by legislation up to and including equal pay for equivalent jobs. To be honest, I doubt that most women in the administrative fields would give up their clean and indoors positions to take the higher paying positions in waste management. Job satisfaction is an intangible aspect of jobs for women that has led them into those cleaner, more comfortable, and lower paying professions. Intangible benefits cannot be overlooked, as the very palpable negative aspects of jobs in waste management are enough to keep women out of the field to a large degree. I would not expect someone doing something that I wouldn't willingly do to be paid the same as me in the equation unless I offered a skill that set me above that other person (doctor for example). Women shouldn't be mothers to their ; they should be contributing members of society by being in the workforce. By disavowing the benefits of a parent who stays at home with a , considering it not to be a contribution to a society as a whole or a legitimate way for woman to live, the feminists sought to dictate acceptable behaviors and defy the norms. They also alienated themselves from women in the working classes, the same women who raised the feminists when the feminists were too busy with their lobbying. And couldn't raise their own as fully in the balance. A class divide was assured in this aspect of the feminists' argument, an alienation of anyone who couldn't afford to pay another individual to be the mother to their that the feminists deemed was an unworthy use of their time. The aspect that set women back the furthest was the Take Back The Night movement. By claiming that pornography and the sex industry was responsible for the deviant nature of men who resorted in the sexual abuse of women, women were forced to curb their sexual desires or be held liable for the crimes of others. Strippers and porn actresses were the ones who caused the deviant change in otherwise normal men and to blame for sexual abuse. At the same time that they were advocating the burning of bras and feeling free to abort fetuses on a regular basis, they forced women to subjugate their sexual desires and feel guilty if they had fantasies or kink and actually enjoyed their bodies. Another sad way of addressing how women were not equal to men, to be sure. The Civil Rights movement did more for women's rights than the feminist movement ever did. No one else since the Suffragettes has done anything positive for the rights of women in this country. The feminists just blustered and bemoaned their state, leaving nothing good in their wake. In conclusion, there isn't really much to masturbate over in this blog. Just a lesson to reinforce that fact. |
