 Dear Lady,

I applaud you for handling this individual as tactfully as you did. It is a shame he is so clueless he didn't even realize he was being offensive. Certainly shows his lack of effort to understand the complexity and nuances of the transgender community. You have my respect for the generosity of you response to him. I would have felt like cutting him off at the knees but then I am a very straight alpha male and that is how we are suppose to respond. LOL

Thank you, I am flattered by your observation. I hope little by little education will erode away the ignorance and leave a better world. I will mention the person took umbridge to my letter and thought I was attacking him. He replied with insults about my grasp of the offensive nature of the word "QUEER" in that the essence of the word itself is not offensive. EEEEooow! The sound made as my attempt to enlighten him zoomed over his head!!

 Rachael,

It is either a case of ignorance is bliss in his case or he has some serious identity issues of his own that feeding his paranoia. Either way it was unfortunately a wasted effort on you part. Still a noble try to broaden a horizon that would rather stumble in the dark. If your interested please ready my blog entitled "Pity the Bigot" You might enjoy it. Enlightenment is a slow and torturous process at best but keep shining you light and more will join yours.

 It's not for me too say perhaps but I for one am so happy you chose to be a girl. I'm just an ole Texas boy but I live by the motto "If you look like a girl, talk like a girl and think like a girl, You are a girl".
