from a lump of coal to shining amber

from a lump of coal to amber
In kiss breath escapes between your lips
blows on the embers of my soul
this lump which seems so lifeless
suddenly inspiration has a goal
from a lump of coal to shining amber
in the light of flames it flickers
a golden glow a brighter hope
today and tomorrow will be
and these sensual kisses declare

 coal forms diamonds..thought pine resin formed amber

too true, but diamonds are a common colourless boring rock....amber has a warmth and life and colour to it.....

more looking as to how coal and amber are presented, as distinct from the form they take, or their metamorphosis to another form.
