Performance Anxiety
Kisses sweet
such a treat
so quickly found
our common ground
together we can be
such a certainty
and yet as closer grow
and you I better know
a welling doubt grows inside
often seems to coincide
with the feelings deep
a troubling feeling does creep
what if it is not
as good as we have got
if things do not rise
such an unpleasant surprise
if anatomical state
is found to be a mistake
the desire be in place
the pulse and heartbeat race
and yet no action result
perhaps a doctor consult
on how to overcome these nerves
for the beauty of your curves
a hardness and strength deserves
if we our love preserves
be best some intimacy provide
and yet seems on a great divide

inability to make the horizontal dance
oh what woe that would be
