Nude Album Covers
Today I thought I would make a snappy blog entry and present an idea I had for a while now: showcase my favourite nude art from music album covers!

And definitely on top of the list is a great Canadian voice of the past, Alanah Myles with her Rockinghorse album from 1992! I fell in love with her voice as a young , and when I got that album, I was also in love with the image! So much so that I remember doing even drawing it once! There was something so captivating in that sepia image of her body leaning against that massive . Just raw beauty of nature on display. Below is a full image of that photo shoot, with only upper portion used for the album cover.



Second on my list is a silky smooth skin of a silky smooth<b> blues </font></b>singer Sade from her Love Deluxe album. Coincidently also release in 1992! That must have been a very impressionable year for me The beauty of this young singer was so elegantly captured in this image, her skin looking like it was made of bronze!



And not to be outdone by the ladies, third on my list is the image of no other than Prince himself, formerly known as Prince, followed by formally known as a symbol, and back to the name that brings the most cash! This one is from his 1988 Lovesexy album, and you can see why he went with his choice.

Although at that time I was a very young lad, and only vaguely heard about the controversy surrounding this album cover, in later years I always appreciated it for being able to portray male beauty in that somewhat feminine fashion. In my mind it only added to his masculinity to go against the standard stereotype of a nude male figure.



Last but not least... well, I chose it as a bit of a surprise, and just to have a slightly different entry. It is an album cover of an electronic music album called Future Vintage from 2010. I simply enjoyed how cleverly it was crafted, and I wandered if the designer would have been a male or female in this case.

from your above attachments,, my feel is you are like one of those Un-finished / half finished Marble sculpture presented in the Academia - Florence of Italy that Michelangelo failed to finish….

trapped with stone,. longing to gasp your air and body out i=of the stone…where you are

- the first pictorial of naked girl with her left knee leaning against a muscular- vascular Strong Horse with 4 limbs firmly on ground,,, that open legs leaning inwards - towards the horse and not both legs stand on closed… a need, awaiting to behold by a stronger and strong figure that you have been lacking all this time, and awaiting for "it" to come along,, and once your see it coming, leaning frontal body to horse for a sense of belonging than to have that body back leaning outwards to express - a claim of satisfaction - in which you yet to attain for,,,
- more so when the horse position itself Rightfully and with wind blowing from left to right - that only shows that the star above the lady is no longer just a dream,, - but is real, as the full picture of the horse infront of you with such clearity,… It can only not to be Surreal - but Real….. finally…

and hence a hiss of breath as she looks out , with a grin on corner of lips.. that the wait has been long, but the wait was worth for., and this wait has been as long as the neck of the horse, but touching again on this neck and she holding on for this long….

as she slowly turn her face towards the horse along with that gush of wind,… in her mind… and wants to scream to the Horse to Say … "…." but she so afraid that her words would be carried away along with that fast wind, and the horse might missed hearing that sweet melancholic voice of hers… exasperated with much excitement and anticipation,,, she kept her last cool and she whisper softly into the ears of the horse and said : WHAT NEXT……Tell me, Lets Do It… Why Wait… and the wait has been long… if not the sand wind gonna blow again and cover her dark hair with shades of grey again,… and the next Oasis…. who knows where…… and she has been left too long naked, hungry and cold;;;;;;;;;;;

easy solution - go India, , loads of black dark CHARCOAL to keep you warm. Silky - Girl - turned Silly - Girl,!

Not quite what I was thinking of when I first saw the image, but definitely the most fascinating response I ever received I must admit my focus was much simpler than that, merely the esthetics of the image without going into such subliminal messages. Although I do find it fascinating how you can read into it. Thank you for the comments!
