"Dark writer"

First of all, there all type of writer on here. Some that write erotica, some, that do something sexy, and some that has a interesting story. I got more into writing because of the good writers on here. But when a writer writes, you got to read more that just the first few sentence. I read stuff over the years and the first few paragraphs or chapters and the book lost my interest, and I put the book down. People told me that some of them books was awesome, but like most I didn't give the writer a chance. I read very little, and then made my conclusion. But, when I started to write, myself. I then read every word the writer wrote, that fair! Then as I read more, I realized the books I put down was really good books. Everyone has their own style, which is an awesome thing! I wasn't sure what was my style was , until recently. I written a religious song recently, called "What IF" the song started off if the devil ruled the world, but if you get to my chorus, It show that god rules the world and god wouldn't allow such things. But, the term came up about my song and some of my writing is "Dark". When I think of dark writers, the first thing that comes to mind is Edgar Allen Poe and Stephen King. Their stuff is scary, gloomy, creepy and usually dark. well, I'm am a dark man, I'm very black. Just kidding. But when I write, I didn't realized how some of my writings are dark. Someone suggest that I change the way I wrote, I can't do that, as a writer, you all know we got to be true to ourselves! But as I got to thinking, our writing are a reflection of how or where we was raised, everything from our childhood shows in our writings, think about it! I know it does with me, I had depression, so I guess I can write dark, and It cause me to become a dark writer. Like, we have some people who love sex, or being sexy, it shows in their writings. A person can read someone writings and know what type of mood or day the writer's having. Writing, next to being verbal is the best way to express ourselves! So, if someone ask you what kind of writer you are, what would you tell them? If they ask me, I would tell them, I'm a "Dark Writer".

The last story I wrote was on the dark side for me as this is just a fantasy of mine. The world of BDSM from a sub point of view. When folks say dark in writing I am thinking of scary and creepy like Steven King writes.

I would say true to this statement..
