"The month of May". The month of May was named for Greek goddess Maia. She was the goddess of fertility. The Romans had a similar goddess named Bona Dea. They held festival for Bona Dea during the month of May. These are some people born in the Moth of May. Don Rickles: May 8, 1926. Donald , Jay Rickles. Comedian, actor, and known for his insulting comedy. Stevie Wonder: May 13, 1950, Stevland Hardaway Morris, Musician, singer, song writer, record producer, who was found by Barry Gordon at the age of 12, playing his harmonica. He's was born blind. John Wayne: May 26th, 1907- died June 11, 1979, Marion Robert Morrison, known for his many westerns. Such as "Rio Bravo" "True Grit" "The man who shot Liberty Valance". Bob Hope_ Born May 29th, 1903- Jul 27, 2003) Leslie Townes, comedian, vaudevillian, actor. Most of all, a humanitarian! He made 57 tours for the USO between 1951 and 1991. He preformed for the troops. he was in a hostile situation and did it for free! He brought morale and happiness to our troops who was miles away from home in a war time situation. We was blessed to have him for a 100 years. George Lucas-Born May 14, 1944, George Walton Lucas, film director, screen writer, and entrepreneur. he created Star Wars (1977) and Indiana jones (1981). Scoupe 42- Andrew (Drew) William Brinkley, Born May 28th, in Norfolk Va. A regular blogger on a site called FriendFinder-x. A good person, value his friends and love them, not much of an achiever. Not and over achiever, or a under achiever, just want to be a an achiever. Very loyal, and if you his friend, he would fight for you. A person who sometimes suffer from depression, but love to make others happy. Can be very funny at times. Some one who values life! Believe, if we wake up another day, we blessed to live another day.
