"Giving them the benefit of the doubt"!

A while back a co-worker and I got in trouble. We had an incident that became an accident. To make a long story short, we try to remove a piece of equipment that got stuck in the mud and rapture a fuel line. This now became a hazard, we had a meeting with our manager, his boss, her boss. This was the first time this ever happen with our org. We had a person in our defense. No one got hurt, since it was an accident. Our reps just wanted a verbal rep-emend. Our bosses wanted to crucified us! They wanted our heads on a post, and rip our nuts off! At the company i work for. Equipment have got damage before.

We had to explained detailed about how thing occurred. So, It was agreed, that this issue was resolved, we got a verbal rep-amend. The boss been extra nice since that accident, and he even joke once in a while. He even mentioned about everyone get together on a Saturday and have a BBQ at a park. This accident was now 3 months ago. the other day, the boss mentioned for my co-worker and me to go to a safety meeting in another org and tell them what happen.

In the past, when an accident occurred, it's mentioned, but they don't say where, or who was in involved. So we both went and explained. My co-worker was very mad. He said, they put us through "Humiliation"! They never show a face to the crimes, we was told to admit and show face of guilt! He said, "This is another reason why, I would never dine with the boss, or give him the benefit of the doubt"! To me, I don't want to make waves, why humiliate someone? This not right, when the rules are different.

This boss has a few enemies, I mentioned about the BBQ to my co-worker, he said "Hell no'! He said, "This is the guy who was going to take our employment from us! "Why would you trust him"? Many won't eat lunch with him. I been to trusting in the past, and got burned. It's hard to work in a place where there is tension. I'm in my 50s and I got a ways before I can retire. I guess it hard to let go, when you done wrong. I have a friend, who was 33 in 1983, and his 17 year old nephew got in a fight with him, got in on the ground and punched him in the neck several times.

To this day, he is sore about what happened 34 years ago, and hate his nephew. I'm not associated with enemies form the pass. I can forgive, but not forget. I got work with my boss and others I'm not fond of. So I have no choice, but to "Giving them the benefit of the doubt"!

Riddle** A oldie but a goodies, an easy one. I know you remember this one!

The beginning of eternity, the end of times and space. The beginning of every end, and the end of every place. What am I?

ans: the letter "e"

Sometimes we just have to keep our mouths shut and do what the boss says in case we get into trouble.

Wow, I am so glad that nothing serious happened to the both of you during the accident. And unfortunately you guys got lucky with just a reprimand, and some people tend to hold grudges longer than others. I hope you have a relaxed and blessed Sunday my friend..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..
