"Money"!

What drives you? Is it money? Are you money driven? Would you do something wrong or break the law for it? Suppose it was just a one time deal? Bills are piling up, you know it's wrong, but if it's worth the risk? How far would you go for the dough? Someone can say, it's just a one time deal and your bill would be paid, tempting.

I knew someone who was in need of a few extra dollars. He had a charismatic personality, so that guy asked him to sell Weed, that Marijuana to most. He at first was getting ahead, it was business. He got his customers, get the money, give it to the guys which had it, then get the stuff and give to his customers. He made a percentage on each bag sold. So he started to get ahead, he now wanted out, and they told him, "Why" ? You making money. So later they got him to sell something strong, this was his demise, he tried it, and to make a long story short, he lost everything and for a while he was homeless.

I had another friend, but his story had a worst ending. This friend had the "Napoleon Syndrome". That mean he had a complex about being short, so he had to be a big shot and had an ego. He drove a big truck and wore shoes that make him 2in taller. So instead of 5' 3" he's now 5' 5". He and his lady had a few financial woes, so he mentioned to me he's going to sell soda. Soda! My country ass was thinking about Orange, Grape, 7-up, and anything Nehi. Nehi was a brand of soda, that sold mostly in the East Coast. I asked if he had Nehi, he laugh and said "Coke baby"! I said, I like a nice refreshing Coke too. He busted out laughing, and said "cocaine".

So after a while, he'll come to work with a few C-notes in his wallet. C-note is a 100 dollar bill. He had a lot of customers, and him and his girlfriends had nice things in their home. but, she wanted him to get out of the game! He messed up, he start using his product and then became an addict. He lost everything he bought, her, their , and in the late 80s he was in rehab. Years later, I was going to school full-time and ran into him. He told me he lost everything, and his girlfriend got married to another man. But what he said next gave me Goose bumps? He told me, that he was short with the money he owed the dealers and he feared talking to them.

He told them, that he's sorry and he know he owe them a lot of money, and he'll pay every penny of it back! They told him, "NO"! Go ahead with your life and in 10 years, they will collect! We both didn't know what they meant. So after a month, he quit school, a few years later, I seen him in the grocery store, he's now a Fireman, drug free, and a new girlfriend, found God and life is great! I was so glad for him About several months later, I heard from another friend, that he was found dead. I didn't hear how he died, was it natural causes, or was he killed? But when I look back, it was around 10 years when he died. Lesson in life, we all need money! Fast money is not the answer. Don't lose everything and life, for "money"!

Words of wisdom. Death is the easiest of all things after it and the hardest of all things before it.

Death takes the body, God takes the soul. Our mind holds the memories, our heart keep the love. our faith lets us know we will meet again.

Yes my friend. I live in a city with a drug problem. I have known people badly affected by it....a young man killed because he was short in money to the bosses and a woman who killed herself over worry for her son. It's never worth it.
