skinny dipping

I'm sitting in a business meeting/conference, and I get to thinking about other conferences I've attended, and I get to my favorite fairly quickly. Santa Cruz. Attendees went to the presentations and ate and slept in the dorms on the campus of UC Santa Cruz.
The meeting was set up to encourage informal communication, a presentation before breakfast, then everyone had bkfst together in the mess hall, or whatever it was called, then more presentations till about 2, when we broke for lunch. The afternoons were designated as networking time, with attendee's returning for dinner at about 7pm, and then more presentations till about 10 at night. During the afternoon networking time, we were encouraged to get off campus, go to the beaches, relax and engage in informal discussions. This went on for about 5 days.
Well, I did as encouraged, and the city beach was pretty crowded, so a group of us decided to find a quieter place, and someone suggested a nude beach. The group got considerably smaller, but my curiosity was up, having never been to a nude beach, or even ever been skinny dipping, so I went along. Since I had a rental car, I actually ended up as a driver.
We ended up at what I believe is called red, white and blue beach, and it was nearly deserted. We took the path down the cliff, and had a stretch of the beach between two rock outcroppings almost to ourselves, with a small group of students at one end, and woman and her two at the other end, each probably 100 yards from us in the middle.
For a while, we actually did talk business, a couple of architects had out sketch pads, and the engineers had their calculators out, but eventually most of us ended up in the water, and about half the group shed all their clothes.
I decided to join in, and WOW oh WOW. Playing in the surf with out a swimsuit is such a different, exhilarating experience. (In all honesty, the warm ocean water made a big difference too. My previous ocean experience was off the Oregon and Washington coasts, and that water is cold!) Around 5, the beach got a lot busier, almost crowded, and about an equal mix of sexes, almost everyone in the buff. I came back each of the next three days, and even skipped the late night session one day.
I've been hooked on skinny dipping ever since. In Idaho, it's been limited to hot springs and soaking, but I have visited the beaches near Portland more than a few times. I can't believe I was over 30 before I found out how wonderful skinny dipping can be.
Have you been skinny dipping? What are your favorite places? Do you remember your first time.
