GET TESTED!!

Fast Fact: More than 1.1 million people in the United States are living with HIV infection, and almost 1 in 5 (18.1 percent) are unaware of their infection.

Many couples are adamant about using condoms when they are with couples or singles they first meet, which is great. But from talking quite a few couples in the lifestyle, we have noticed that quite a few have other couples and singles they with regularly without using condoms. It seems as though this is common after getting know their playmates for a while. The problem we have noticed with this is, how do you know that your playmates are practicing safe sex with others? Do you think YOU are the one they are playing with bareback?

Also, even though it may be extremely rare, condoms do slip off or break occasionally.

There is NO logical reason for anyone in the lifestyle not get an HIV test AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR!! If you respect yourself and your sexual partner(s), this is something you should be doing!

may not be sexy, but gives you and your partner(s)] peace of mind.

LOTS of quick, easy INEXPENSIVE testing options are out there. This is kind of a no brainer. Bring it up with your play friends too.

Very good post! As one who is more ore less and more these days in the health field we go frequent testing and most of us opt for the HIV screen to be performed, and I have seen some go through this four times a year in conjunction with their employer who foots the bill. I think a lot more companies will give this option in the future to help develop the healthy workforce. Good luck and happy safe play!
