Missed Connections My life has sometimes been a comedy of missed connections. When I was in college, I was communicating by letters with a lady on the Big Island of Hawaii, Mary. She had my . I lived in Honolulu at the time. The crazy part was that when it was Spring Break, that year, I went back to Maui for 2 weeks. During that two weeks, she had called me and left a with my roommate in Honolulu, but didn't leave a . When I got back to Honolulu, my roommate told me that she had called. I was disappointed, needless to say, that I had missed her call, and she never called back. Another crazy incident was just recently. I have an account on another site where I can communicate with someone. A lady's boyfriend had gone back to the mainland and left her stranded here on Maui. I had asked her if she wanted to me on that communications site. It turned that she actually did me, but her (Christine) was different than the other site, when she contacted me. I didn't recognize her , and thought it was a spam , advertising some website - I get so many of those you wouldn't believe it. Anyway, I didn't respond because of that. Well, I was wondering I had gotten a from, and just recently opened her . I just found that she was going to be here on Maui for September and October. I'm now disappointed to realize that she's gone back to the mainland - with me missing another connection. I just can't believe this. If only she had told me that she was trying to me on that other site, and what her nick was, things would have been very different. I guess the moral is to not give up and keep trying to somebody, even if you can't seem to them the first time.
