Yes, and no. We bag her contributions if she leaves one on the trail, or on a paved walk, but Gracie is as discreet a dog as I have ever had in picking a place to recycle. She will run to the farthest, hardest to get place in the yard or along the trails to make a deposit. So we let Jesus deal with it.

The coming week or the next after will be peak around here. It can come later. We'll see. But it's really pretty right now! Asylum Lake is heavy with oak, so the color there will come a bit later and stay longer. The scarlet oaks there are wonderful when they change.

Mine too. Most of the worst biting and stinging insects are gone, or going when it gets cool at night, and the sun is still warm and bright. There were a couple of yellowjackets on my pickup window yesterday when we headed out to the lake. When I opened the door they just dropped off, too weak to fly. I stood gloating for a while and thought about mocking them, but I collected myself and allowed the better angels of my nature take control. I moved smugly on.

It's hard to say what- they're pretty sharp eyed and don't waste energy, so they were floating effortlessly and looking. I didn't see any of them come to earth.
