Man! Monday again. Who likes them...? Lemme know.

In addition to reading blogs this morning, I decided to look at profiles.

I haven't for quite sometime, having found this other place to reside here in blogland. Where the cool are. Yes, I just confirmed that YOU... are cool.

Now, I am pretty sure I can pick out a fake profile from a real person.

I may be mistaken.

Riddle me this, Batman. I wrote to a lady in October... she just answered me today. Does it really take that long for you ladies to get through all of your emails? I'm not impatient. I was simply surprised to have her contact me back.

And speaking of contact....

I read one of the filthiest things I think I have ever experienced. I will NOT be getting in touch with that local "hottie".

I guess I just don't know what the next step is. Keep writing blogposts, hoping to increase my presence? Upgrade to Gold to increase my abilities? Go to another site to increase my options?

I read a fantastic story today from Eros_Space. [post 3557168] He's really good, as far as I am concerned. Tell me otherwise.

I read a sad tale by another blogger. She's really good, too.

I read a truly funny story. I read some excellent suggestions for a male's success in the dating world.

But...

Where does the "meaning" kick-in? Where does the rubber hit the road?

Who ARE these people, and do they even want other people to know who they are?

I know who some of YOU are. We've communicated. And gotten to know one another. Through keystrokes and teletype, texts and phone calls. Emails here and even outside of here.

I don't expect answers. I'm not looking for advice.

I just wonder. About us. About you. About me.

 I wonder the same. But, unlike you, I can't pick out the fake from the real. Probably naive but I have been assuming that there is a person behind every profile. Got any tips on how I might determine otherwise? Are there certain clues? Maybe a definition of 'fake' would be useful too....are the fakes made by the site to draw customers or are they actual people who are pretenders/liars/what-have-you? Or both?

Um... wow. That's more than I know. As from a woman's point-of-view, I couldn't give a clue -- cuz I ain't seen a fake male profile.

All I know is, if it seems too good to be true... it likely is.

On the blogs, though... lots of truisms beyond that.

Not that I really liked it, I mean. I'm just sayin'. And if I did, what would be wrong with that? Nothing. Not a damn thing. But I didn't really like it that much, I'm just trying to be nice. What the hell are you people staring at?
