Storm's A-Comin'

Hi True-Believers,

I have had whirlwind weeks.

All is good but, whew!.... Spun.

Like a top, not a web. A carnival ride, not yarn.

But here's a yarn...

It's been said, one way or another, that when a door closes a window opens.

Currently, my existence appears to be a glass house... there has been some airflow throughout. But doggone it if I don't have to be much more modest than I prefer.

Everybody can see inside!

"Turn and face the stranger, ch-ch-changes.
Look out you rock-n-rollers.
... pretty soon you're gonna get older."

- um... Bowie, of course. If you missed that question you are disqualified from the bonus round. And likely beaten-to-a-pulp on your way to the parking lot as you walk in shame to your vehicle.

None of the above has anything to do with what is really on my mind.

I just had to kinda "get the gunk out" -- Cosby, William.

Me. Me. Me. I keep referring to myself. Forgive the indulgence, I care about y'all more than I do for me. But I can only write from a perspective of "this guy". Or can I?

A pal of mine went through a "mimic" phase -- where she wrote blog posts in the vein of blog writers other than herself. It didn't last long, and I don't know if anyone got it... but it intrigued me. What a concept!

Imagine if filmwriters, or authors of books that we flock to the store to buy tried the same thing. Or even more exciting to me -- musicians.

Does anybody remember The Ruttles?

Or when Todd Rundgren played and produced note-for-note Beatles albums?

Others have done that sort of thing, too. Andy Partridge from XTC, for example.

It happens in visual art, too. Ever hear the stories of the guys (and gals) that have forged famous paintings? Later in their lives (after being released from prison -- for what -- art production? ) -- have been praised as great artists because they actually could PAINT exactly like Van Gough, or Rembrandt, DaVinci or whom-so-ever. Nice.

Still not certain I am getting to the heart of my own matter. I have a few hours left before I do something else that will take me away from this "sphere" for a few days.

Still stewing on it. The next post will be better. Clearer.

Now I'm gonna go read some of those that have been piling up since I have last logged-on. "Accretion" -- it is an Oblique Strategy. Time and numbers are up... gotta go.

Love y'all!

My own watched blogs list is piling up with posts I haven't read yet. I'd like to trim my list, but I watch those bloggers because I like them. I think I need time management counseling. I'd like to be able to prioritize my list.

I love mimicking!! It's especially fun to mimic a person in real life.
