What a Great Weekend

Okay, so i would like to take a few minutes and talk about the weekend we had last weekend that was absolutely amazing. It was our first long weekend trip together and it was everything that I was hoping it would be and then some.

My is in the process of transferring from Idaho State University to Washington State University. They had their transfer student registration and orientation last weekend, so we decided that we wanted to take her there and make a mini vacation out of it so we could see some of the beautiful scenery in that area along with meeting two couples while we were there.

WSU is in Pullman, WA and we decided to take the faster route on the way up there by going I-15 to I-90 by way of Missoula, MT, which was nice because I got to have lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Cracker Barrel, which reminds so much of down home Midwest cooking. The trip up there was pretty nice and fairly uneventful, except all of the pit stops that we had to make along the way as a result of my 's small bladder and insane desire to drink as much Diet Coke as she possibly can.

Sunday morning, we met one couple, D&J, for breakfast at an amazing restaurant in Moscow, ID called The Breakfast Club that had a rather unique menu item that was a huckleberry zucchini bread. They were a very nice couple and were able to tell us quite a bit about the area that they have lived in most of their adult life. However, we just didn't feel that spark or much chemistry with them. So we continued about with our plans to get my to the places that she needed to be at.

Somehow, amongst all the confusion that an unorganized 19-year old can cause, we managed to meet another couple, D&D, that we have been getting to know for a little while. They are very, very new to the lifestyle, so we have been trying to help coach and mentor them along, as best we can. We didn't think we were going to get the chance to meet them because they had met another couple that they agreed to be exclusive with. I am not going to lie and say that didn't disappoint us quite a bit, but we understood their situation and their desire to do what they thought was best for them. Those of you here who know us know that we are not judgmental and we very much try to be understanding as well. However, things did not end up working out between them and the other couple they were seeing, which ended up being a huge relief to us (again, not going to lie about it) because that opened the door back up for us to possibly meet them while we were there.

Later that evening, they came down to see us at our hotel. Knowing they would be nervous and a bit timid at first, we decided not to try to push things along too quickly, so we suggested we all go for a swim/soak in the hotel's pool/spa, which ended up being a really good idea (who knew I could have those! LO. After that, we ended up playing a sexy card game (luckily they brought it with them because we were supposed to bring our Cards Against Humanity with us, but we forgot to pack it) with them that was pretty fun to play even though it was clearly meant to be played with quite a few more people than just 4. Even though we would have loved to have stopped playing the game and commend playing with each other, we didn't want to push them too hard too fast, so we finished the game. Overall, it was fun and I think it could be a lot more fun with some modifications that I have been thinking about. Well, it started to get late and they both had to be up the next morning, so we called it a night. Afterwards we found out from them that they also were thinking about stopping the game play so we could have some sex play, but they didn't pursue it either. Even though it would have been nice to play with them and break their full swap cherries, we don't regret anything at all knowing that we didn't push them and made them feel comfortable with us and what they were doing, which is something that is so very important to us. Since our meeting we have decided that we are going to see them again and it looks like t hey are going to take a trip down here to see us for a weekend, perhaps the weekend of our next house party.

The next day while my was at the campus familiarizing herself with it and the courses she would be taking, Nancy and I decided to wander out and see some of the natural beauty in the area. We drove west a bit to Palouse Falls State Park. It was quite beautiful there and we would have loved to hike down the pool under that falls, but we didn't have the right footwear or the time to do it right, so we agreed that we would do that next time we are there.

The next day we decided to drive home by taking the scenic route from Moscow, ID to Boise, ID. Oh my, that was quite the beautiful drive, but it was also quite a long one with road construction stopping all traffic for longer than we thought necessary. It was quite late by the time we got back home, so we unpacked and went to bed.

We are both looking forward to our next trip to Las Vegas in July. Anyone want to join us?

We had my 18-year old daughter with us, so we had to keep it clean. However, next time we would love to check it out, if you give us some more information about it.
