Old jokes, newly understood. Way back in the 80s, many years ago, there was a goofy sketch comedy show on CBC called 4 on the Floor, and they did a bit called "Mr. Friendly" (about a TV show personality being questioned for a crime. You can see it on the usual online video clip sites- it was episode 6, about halfway through). I thought the skit was hilarious as a , and I still remember the silly song they sang on it. "Police man, police man, helps us when we're lost. Police man, police man, like his salad tossed." For decades, I thought this was just a silly statement about dinner preferences. Thirty five years later, I realize it was a sexual comment. I am a little slow at getting jokes sometimes. |

I betcha the CBC executives never noticed it at all, or the show never would have aired.
