BEAUTIFUL DAY
Good morning everybody!

I hope this finds you well and in good spirits I'm good. I've been SO wishing for weather that's not so hot/humid...I don't do well with weather like this! Other than that, I'm good, though.

Yesterday I took a day trip to the<b> mountains. </font></b>It was much cooler there (Not saying cool! Just more air and an not occasional breeze. Low to no humidity). Today I'm taking a slow day...at least so far. I slept in this morning.

I have many many friends on here and I'm sorry I've not been more regularly and personally in touch. I've not been on so much in recent weeks and tend to be using my Blog as the most central communication right now. Do know that I think of you all and appreciate having you as friends!

I have an image I want to try to share...not sure of it as I'm used to writing longer free verse and poems of late. Maybe I'll work on turning it into Haiku! Or, maybe I'll keep it as is

A STUDY IN CONCENTRATION

You sit there, still---but not at all statue still.
You are very much alive,
A study of concentration in your focus.
I was thinking I would like to sketch you, Or---
Take a photograph of what I see;
Of what I see that delights me.
I like that you are comfortable in the nude
(Though I would really like if you would MAYBE
Clothe yourself with your long black hair falling
Loosely, instead of tied back behind and hidden).
I watch you as you eat the cherry thoughtfully.
It could be said, I think, that you are considering it:
The texture, taste, size and perhaps it's smell?
I would not compare you to the Statue of Rodin.
But so far, it seems to me that you ARE a thinker.
I did not ask you what you thought of the cherry,
But, I think I will...
