Is "69" overrated

It seems whenever I read any erotica, mutual simultaneous oral sex (aka 69) always brings about mind blowing orgasms and is enjoyed by everyone. It's a good fantasy and sounds like a great idea, but I don't think it works as well in practice - at least in my limited experience. I haven't enjoyed it that much, so I haven't tried it a whole lot. Why?

First, the partners must match up size wise. If the partners aren't the right size, then there is too much bending, twisting and straining. And if your<b> overweight </font></b>like me, the positions are limited. I'm just guessing, but I think the male would need to be a bit taller than the female, because he has to bend a little bit farther to get his mouth to the goal. While for the female, his equipment just sticks right out in front.

Second, I've never climax from receiving oral sex. I haven't received a lot of blow jobs. It's not something my ex-wife liked to do too often and besides I seem to get too sensitive when receiving. But I'd hope to try it to orgasm once. Maybe with repetitive experiences, I could learn to cum from receiving oral sex. And I have to admit it is exciting to look down and watching my prick slide in and out of my partners mouth, with my hands resting on her head or perhaps urging her one way or the other.

Last, I like my partner to orgasm when I perform cunninglingus. It's one of my favorite things to do. Going down on a woman involves all five senses in a delightful way. So I think it is much better to take turns. So each person can devote their complete attention to giving their partner pleasure

 I agree and disagree, 69 is the shit, I love a female to fuck my face while I feel my dick slid in and out of her mouth. You need to be good at oral sex as well as enjoy giving your partner pleasure, being an accomplished pussy eater makes up for having an average sized dick.  Frankly, I'm not a fan of "69"... the size discrepancy is one issue but mostly... while the idea of it is sound, I prefer to focus more intently than the position allows.
