So, my horny fellow bloggers, at what age did you finally understand sexual innuendo?

Twelve.

What is an example of something in entertainment or other media you didn't understand as a child, but you get it now?

It's all about the money.

Before then but twelve sounded low enough.

Song lyrics like the ones in this song.

i still remember the embarrassment of having to ask someone what "box lunch at the Y" meant in 9th grade.

Things haven't improved much... innuendo is usually way over my head. I think that Aerosmith video to "Love in the Elevator" and the girl asking if Steven Tyler was going down was the first time I figured it out on my own... i think I was like late-teens.

I wont say my age for fear of being mocked but I remember after I had "the sex" for the first time I was like "ooooh 75% of songs are about fucking"

Putting clients first by putting employees first, immediately after prioritizing fiscal responsibilities and leveraging profitability towards exceeding by empowering our employees to put clients (and themselves) first, in a diverse and respectful environment of only those that come first, first.

The first one I really got was "take it off, take it all off". But the overall double meaning double standards I never really understood until listening to early 1970s George Carlin, where he tells of being fired for saying "shit" in Las Vegas -- a town where the big game is called crap(s), and he reeled off a bunch of sex in advertising and movies phrases and visual examples (like Fellini's using a train going into a tunnel whenever aa couple had sex).

Innuendo? You mean there's more than one meaning? And Bugs was in on it, too??? CRAP!!!!

Uhmmm . . . I have never heard the 80's R&B hit Juicy Fruit by Mtume. Hell, I've never heard of Mtume. My reference on your other post was to "One Flew Over The Coocoo's Nest".

When did I first get Innuendo? Well, that is so far behind me I just don't recall m

There was this film in the 80s about a cop going undercover in a high school. It wasn't one of the idiot recent ones, but something infinitely more intelligent and in it the hero is attending an English class and reads a poem about driving a car, but its actually a metaphor for sex and afterwards when the teacher is prompting them to tell her what is was really about, one of the lads blurts out in astonishment 'its about sex'
I had a similar experience at a friends poetry group. I'd go to make up the numbers when he first set it up and so I'd often here the same poems every month. After a couple of listenings to one about the sea and salty water I realised it was about oral sex. It wasn't the metaphor I was missing, it was the fact that this shy pale lady was willing to publicly say such things. And it reminded me that everyone wants sex regardless of how they are perceived.

Seriously? Do I even really know you? Did you grow up deserted on a desert island? No . . . those are not your homework questions. I believe you know the assignment . . . now.

Indeed. I never really understood how fireworks can be used both for passionate kisses AND for sex. Carlin had a great idea for a new snack food, too: Nabisco Tits! Corn Tits, Pizza Tits, Tater Tits... bet ya can't eat just one!

I still have a hard time even understanding many lyrics, so that limits catching any innuendos in them.

I do remember Jefferson Starship and "I had my first taste of the real world, when I went down on you girl", but not much innuendo in THAT!

"Well that was quick" is okay if I got the woman to the boiling point right away.

Perhaps with something other than a fork

What? "I've been forked" is NOT what you want to hear?
OK...maybe something else that's pointy.

Well....no innuendo at all there. Just moisture...cause now I'm thinking about pointy things. That penetrate. And are long. And thick.

My musical introductions to sexual references were Musique's "Push Push in the Bush", which came out when I was 10. And AC/DC's "Big Balls", which came out when I was 8. Both were songs that my friends and I thought were just the sneakiest things that our parents would NEVER catch on to bwuahahahaha. Sadly I was fully grown up before I knew that ZZ TOPS "Pearl Necklace" song wasn't about jewelery lmao.

The film was called plain clothes. And the poem was by e e cummings and called she being brand new.
