I read where the N Y Yankee team was all vaccinated and some still got the Corona (NO not the beer). So the effectiveness is a touch iffy.

So, definitely wear a mask and gloves - when robbing a bank. Otherwise - who the f**k really knows. I bandana in crowded places because . . . people

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Re, the aches and pains, I had a similar experience with the second shot. It was like it was a warning sign of areas in my body that are on the edge of something? Specifically, an area of my gums hurt where I suspect I might have a tooth problem (dentist appt next Friday) and my wrist hurt (I'm thinking my obsessive knitting might have me on the edge of a repetitive stress injury). The various pains did subside after about a day.

As for what to do now, just as has been the case all along, everyone's comfort level is different. My health club immediately canceled their mask requirement but I think I'm going to continue wearing a mask there for a while. Same with shopping and other indoor public spaces. MN is still the #5 state in the US for cases, but maybe I'll start to feel more comfortable if our numbers keep dropping.

The best analogy I've seen is that it's like someone who REALLY REALLY doesn't want to have a kid - while they accept that birth control is effective, they might double up by also using a condom since no form of birth control is !00%.

It might be the menopause
We still have to wear masks here, even if we've had the jabs.. our pubs and cafe's can open tomorrow indoors so that's good,, hopefully at the end of June all restrictions will be lifted

I'll keep wearing my mask for a while longer when I'm in public indoor places and crowded outside ones. I don't want to get even a mild version of it and there's no way I trust people to be honest or do the right thing.

I also had Moderna shots, and after the second shots, I had a reaction. I did not run fever, but after 24 hours of getting shots, I started to feel like I am starting flu or something, and i started my concoction of natural remedy/homeopathic medicine right away. Next day, i felt ok, but i had a bright red circle about 4 inch in diameter at the short site, with slight pain and swollen. The red circle stayed about few more days.

Yahhhh....that's my exact thought, tho...sooo, how you determine, you are not wearing masks, because you are fully vaccinated. I know damn sure, there are gonna be people who are gonna say, they are not wearing masks as they are fully vaxed, although they are NOT...not like you are gonna ask to produce the proof, anyway...right? "um...excuse me, can i see your corvid shot records, please??? "

so, i am just gonna wear my mask, even tho, I am fully vaxed...

is this mask thing we have been doing was really bullshit??? hello CDC??? can you verified that??? How about Dr Fauci ,did you not say, double mask is more effective than a single mask wearing??? now what is this CDC guideline of fully vaxed people don't have to wear masks? Dr Fauci, how do you know if they are telling us the truth??? hello????? helllo??????

although i had some reaction to the shots, i am still gonna vax my son, as soon as available...i know a lot of parents are against about this, due to the unknown safety of shots. but i am gonna take the risk than the known risk of actual disease...

I've kept up with the mask the whole time and I'll keep with it too. This last year was the first one I can remember that I didn't catch the cold or flu. And you are absolutely, not so many people who are refusing to get vaccinated will run around without masks. Just crazy.

But enjoy, wear a mask if you'd like. It does make some people more comfortable anyway. And since you got all sweaty for less fun reasons, find someone that'll help you celebrate and get you all sweaty for better ones. LOL

You see light dappling on the water and forget the deep, cold dark beneath.

I laugh at these dumb asses who have been quoting Fox News bullshit stats and statistics on the Virus and vaccinations and have 100% disagreed with the CDC from day one..Now they all of a sudden agree with the CDC because they said you can go maskless... Will be wearing one in public for sure..Most of these dumb asses will never get the shots...

Do NOT laminate your card. If anything comes down the pike you (It) can NOT be added to that record. Put it in a safe, or a safe place that you have important papers gathered. Do what I did and just take a picture of it with your phone.

Never really had to wear a mask here other in a few corporate stores who had them mandatory. They lifted the mask mandate a few days ago. Our state has had a whopping 0 to 5 cases a day so no real big issue. I won't do the shots simply because there was no research posted anywhere during the search for the cure. Just all of a sudden BAM like 3 companies had a cure that weren't tested ? I don't think so... that cure isn't for me. I have read more about peoples side effects of the shots than I did about research and testing of the drugs. Not to be a nay sayer but I will keep living my life like I have been living my life without being worried of catching the virus. It just never flourished over here. I will pass on the shots. Not even worried about the virus here. I am more worried about catching the flu next winter than I am about covid. Then again people vaccinated for the flu still catch it....
Take care

Lala, just relax and let it slide for a while..I had the Pfizer shots and luckily I can say I never knew I had them Nada, nothing zilch!!!! I would laminate the CDC card and keep it safe, photo it and have it so that you can show some one on the spot from that smart phone of yours!!!.. Wear the mask for your protection. It is you that you should worry about... I had mine back in Feb. I still wear a mask any time I go inside other than my home..
If I look after me, and you look after you, and we can get a lot of others to look after themselves, I think we may be in good shape.
There are going to be those that don't care about anything even themselves, these are the ones we have to just stay away from..
I am so sorry that you had such a reaction to the shots, So glad it is behind you.. I do see in the fall or winter we all may have to get a third shot to keep us inline,
I woudf like to say something here , maybe some non believers will read it.
The technology that developed these vaccines is NOT new!!! it has been here for years and just waiting for something to come along that needed this form of development.. It is good that medical science is in such a state..

Now the problem is to get it under control before it mutates into something that is very different.. The issue in India is a very big issue and if something isn't done quickly it could turn into a real mess..

I do hope your acks and pains are gone and you are back to your normal rambling
self!!!! I didn't notice much rambling in your post so maybe you will get well soon...

Being among the last in my circle to get the second shot (didn't quality at work since retired, young-ish, etc.) I'd heard all the reports about second shot reactions so scheduled my entire week around being sick soon thereafter. Got the shot...headed home...went to bed...got up..UMM - STILL WAITING - NADA. What the H? Did they inject me with water!!

My attitude on the maskless unvaccinated is - it's their choice. They're not going to infect me (seriously anyway - though YES, they still could make me sick, but they've also ALWAYS could give me TB or whatever) and I'm not responsible for protecting them since they had a chance to get a shot and choose not to partake.

If you still can, wear a mask even after receiving the second dose. While you may no longer be affected by the virus, wearing a mask or face covering could help you stop spreading it to other people.

Got my first vaccination last week. Probably just in time given the prevalence of the Indian variant which is travelling through the population like a, well, err, like a virus through the population.

Even though I've had both jabs, I still feel nervous in Supermarkets and other such places. I still wear a mask but I've certainly noticed that more people aren't wearing one.

First I am glad you got both your shots, and I am so sorry to hear the second one had some severe side affects, but your not alone as many people have been telling me that the second shot they got they had some real issues with that one as well.

As for the new mask rule, I am still wearing mine when I got to stores, and places where there are a LOT of people because we don't know who has been vaccinated and who hasn't. We both got our J & J shots, with now issues other than a sore arm for about a week.

I think everyone has to decide what is best for them, I know I have to keep wearing a mask because of hubbies underlying health issues, as some people are still getting covid even after being vaccinated.

I hope your week ahead is a good one hun, and stay safe and take care..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Glad to hear you've had both your shots, Lala. Up here North of the 49th, we have only had one shot and still awaiting the date for the second (me I am talking about) The only people who have had both shots are those over 90 years of age, those who work in health care and other high risk personnel. We are way behind your country in getting everyone vaccinated.

And wearing masks is mandatory, regardless of who is vaccinated or not.

I was out with friends yesterday for a social distancing dinner and that was part of our conversation. How do you tell who is fully vaccinated and who is just claiming they are??

I have had one shot of Pfizer, and like everyone else here, no matter of our vaccination status am still required to wear a mask outside of my home. Unless I am able to guarantee social distancing from anyone not in my bubble.

Wait the couple of weeks then find some hot guy to grab and kiss. Big, body pressing, tongue seeking kisses. Then turn around and walk away.
I don't expect you to know him after all.

I had Moderna and had similar side effects as you after the second shot. I did NOT notice any after-effects to the first shot at all.

I went to the supermarket yesterday and Home Depot today. Even though I am fully vaccinated, I wore my mask in an effort to protect those who can't or won't get vaccinated. I noticed everyone else was wearing masks as well even though the mandate has been lifted in my state. I think it will take at least as long to get used to NOT wearing masks as it did to get used to wearing them last year.

sorry to hear you had a bad reaction to moderna. i had moderna but only slight redness at shot penetration.

i hear you on the now what... GA has lifted more restrictions and the restaurants no longer have the host and staff wearing masks. but i noticed the guy on clean up wore a mask and gloves.

my walmart is now no mask if you are vaccinated. but who is to know who is walking around with no vacc?

i just still limit being in large crowds. i freak out seeing the folks partying again on FB and in the news.

Working in public health I was one of the first in our area to receive both doses. Never gave up mask wear completely in public . When after almost a year of Grubhub and DoorDash, this summer finally went to restaurants mostly eating outdoors.
There are too many kids who are too young to be vaccinated around to take risks of getting Covid (again, I had it April, 2020) and infecting them. Unfortunately, due to the people that refuse to vaccinate who may be exposing other unvaccinated and even the vaccinated with Delta in this state we are back to being cautious, wearing masks indoor at public places and even outdoors in certain situations. One just never knows. I had a sore throat a couple weeks ago. Thank goodness for easy , quick access for testing…it was negative.
I may only get a very mild case if I get it, but I would never forgive myself if I infected someone else who became ill or died. If your local municipality isn’t mandating mask wear, do it anyway. Encourage everyone to get vaccinated. A day or two of flu-like symptoms are no big deal compared to how you may feel if you had Covid or were a carrier and gave it to someone else.

Masks have just become a way of life. It’s such a small inconvenience that has large benefits. As for hooking up…still a little leery with someone new. Yep, I’m damn horny and tired of masturbating, but I not ready to get physically close and exchange bodily fluids…yet.
